Meet Amiyah! This little girl has been through more in her short life than most humans. Amiyah was most likely a stray when she was found lying on the side of the road after being hit by a car in Louisiana. A Good Samaritan brought her to a vet hospital who then contacted our rescue for help. We were anxious to help her and thrilled when transport was arranged to get her into foster care. She was emaciated, heartworm positive, covered in fleas and wounds, and also suffering from blunt force injuries. Although Amiyah was in terrible shape, she never stopped wagging her tail or loving on the people taking care of her. She underwent a total hip replacement and elbow repair in December, followed by an emergency bowel obstruction surgery in January. She just completed her heartworm treatment, gained a healthy amount of weight, and has fully recovered from all of her injuries. She is the happiest, wiggliest, snuggliest little dog in the world.
Amiyah would be happy in almost any home, as she loves mostly everything. She loves children, taking short walks, chewing on her bones, laying in the sun, and meeting new people. She is an angel companion and will never leave your side. She would do best with another male dog or a submissive female. Amiyah does eat inappropriate things if left unattended, so crating her when she is alone is important.
This sweetheart deserves a fairytale ending after the mountains she has overcome! Would your family like to be the next chapter in her incredible story?
If your family would like to provide Amiyah with the home she deserves, please complete the adoption application at https://www.bullmastiffrescuers.net/forms.html
We require a donation ranging from $100 to $500 for each adoption. The donation is based on the age and health of the dog being adopted as well as its level of training. 100% of donations are directed to the veterinary expenses of the dogs in our care.
Amyiyah is being fostered in Maryland; however, don’t let location be a barrier, BRI can arrange transport to many states east of the Mississippi!
Thanks for reading my BIO! If your family would like to provide me with the home I deserve, please fill out an application!
