Bella ~ January 2023
Age is just a number!
Age is just a number!
"Bella is our amazing elderly forever foster. She
was at the shelter where she was left with her companion, an elderly Boston terrier the same age as her, by their family when they moved. She was very sick and not expected to make it very long
when she arrived at our house over a year ago.
This resilient young lady is such a happy, playful puppy and loves life. We cannot say enough about adopting or fostering an elderly dog and absolutely will be doing it again. She has brought so much joy to our home. Bella /Belly/Boo Boo. We call her Belly because she is constantly hungry and Boo Boo because she reminds us of a boo boo bear. We’re not sure of her true age, we know it’s over 11 or 12, but we do hope she is with us for a while longer. She’s amazing and worth every moment of our
time." ~ Bella's Forever Mom

Shelby ~ January 2022
When you know, you know.
When you know, you know.
This is Shelby. I was transporting him and another Bullmastiff for BRI. I found out he had lost his foster and would be having to go on an even longer trip for his new foster. I’d only known him for about an hour but I immediately asked if I could just adopt him. We dropped off the other mastiff near Dallas and me and Shelby went back home.
He’s an amazing dog, doing great. Was a younger brother to my two English mastiffs that have since passed. And now he’s an older brother to an English bulldog.

Sally ~ May 2020
Oh little Sally! You know I love you, baby!
Oh little Sally! You know I love you, baby!
"Sally came from a mill where she spent her entire life being bred and caged. She is now with me in New Hampshire and has 2 four legged sisters that she loves the company of. Sally now enjoys each day doing whatever she wants now thanks to BRI." ~ Sally's Mom
Ally ~ March 2018
Move over Marmaduke, here comes Miss Ally!
Move over Marmaduke, here comes Miss Ally!
"We had just lost our Sweet Miss Rosie but we loved to do transports, and were asked to help get Ally to her new foster home. As soon as she jumped out of Andrea’s van my mom said “Well if things don’t work we’ll take her” because she was so adorable. Andrea replied with “she’s pushy” which we soon found out what that meant on the four hour drive.
We brought her to her foster family and Ally was in love with the kids. We thought how great is this! Fast forward a week and Ally wasn't getting along with the resident dog. Andrea called and asked if we could go get her. Well, of course! We went down the next morning with a blizzard approaching and drove in 70mph winds to get her. Our first week was a blizzard and she was quite the handful. But in the next few weeks, we just knew that we couldn’t let her move to another family, and she was home. She was my mom’s constant companion, until she died last year. Ally was so heartbroken, and grieved her like we all did.
Since then she has helped me get through things, and every day is an adventure with her. I won’t lie, it’s like I have my own personal “Marmaduke” with never knowing what surprise I will have each day! Somedays she has eaten a sofa, somedays it’s a broken window because she saw a squirrel outside, but every day always has the sweetest cuddles and she is my faithful companion. Miss Ally, aka “Pushy Pants,” sure has been entertaining and I wouldn’t trade her for the world. She has taught me, even though she has her quirks, that she has so much love to give. I’d be lost without her! THANK YOU BRI!" ~ Ally's Mom
