What Makes Deuce Special
A Little About Deuce:
Deuce is a sweet and affectionate 6-year-old female dog looking for a loving home after being surrendered due to her previous owner's medical situation. Located in Michigan, she is ready to bring love, companionship, and warmth to the right family.
A Healthy, Happy Girl
Deuce is in great health! She’s spayed, up to date on all vaccinations (including distemper and Lepto), heartworm negative, and microchipped. Her ears are clean, her nails are clipped, and she recently enjoyed a nice bath. She may have a slight case of arthritis in her left rear leg, but it doesn’t stop her from enjoying her daily routine.
Personality and Preferences:
Deuce is a gentle and loving companion who thrives on attention. She is housebroken and crate-trained, though she takes about 30-40 minutes to settle in when left alone. She has a moderate energy level—she enjoys a mix of relaxation and bursts of playful moments, depending on the energy of those around her.
She walks well on a leash with a harness and enjoys getting outside for walks. While she doesn’t have a strong attachment to toys or bones, she absolutely adores head scratches, snuggles, and any form of affection. Food is also high on her list of favorites—she enjoys her meals, especially with a tasty food topper.
The Perfect Day with Deuce
Her ideal day starts with waking up to gentle head rubs before going on a relaxed morning walk. She enjoys her breakfast, followed by a cozy nap near her favorite people. She’s happiest when she has companionship throughout the day, whether it’s lounging together, getting affection, or enjoying a peaceful moment by your side.

Adoption donations for BRI dogs range from $300 to $600. This is based on the age, health and training needs of the dog being adopted. Donations are discounted for elderly dogs or dogs with special needs. 100% of donations are directed to the veterinary expenses of the dogs in our care. BRI is a non-profit organization so your donation may be considered tax deductible.
Deuce is being fostered in Michigan; however, don’t let location be a barrier, BRI can arrange transport to many states east of the Mississippi!
