DOZER
My name is Dozer...yep, like in Bull Dozer, get it BULL. I'm 5 years old although at times my foster mom says I act like a pup. Now I have to tell you at those times she's usually fussing at me. She has to keep watch on me as I can get into trouble. Not bad, sometimes I forget what I can and can't chew on even though I have a lot of toys and bones. I'm a big boy, I really like food...I weigh about 117. I love to cuddle, I love to sleep, I play, but not too much, I have bursts of energy and as quickly as it comes it is gone. I'm good on a leash so I do love to walk. I'm not a barker unless I need something like outside, I'll scratch at the door or bark to let you know I need to do my business. I live in a home with 3 other males and from time to time I forget I don't need to make my territory known so my foster mom correct me with a psst and I'm good. I guess it might be cause I also live with a pretty young thing, she's a bullmastiff like me. One of the guys I hang out with here is little dude but he is cra cra, barks and jumps, I've heard mom say it's the terrier in him. I don't know what his problem is but he has moments when he jumps at my face, I take it and take it without a problem. Now there are times when I finally correct him myself because that's not the way you play, I just turn and run at him, lol, that's all it takes. We don't have those kitty things here but I did see them at the doc's office once or twice, I tried to check them out, man, they hissed and tried to claw me. Geez I'm a really laid back dude, what were they thinking. I don't mind the vet, there's some of my favorite folks there, I just stroll in, check it out and lay down and wait my turn.
Oh, I forgot to tell you, I like kids too, my foster family although it's just mom and dad living here, they have grandkids, well grand girls, 5 of them. I love it when the girls come, I'm easy with them, don't want to scare them or worse, knock them down. I take it easy when I approach them, I love it when they rub on me, well I love it when anyone rubs me.
Okay, so my health, well like I said, I'm 5, the folks who had me before, they didn't take good care of me, they let me get worms in my heart. The wonderful folks at BRI took care of them and I'll be worm free soon. My shots are good, up to date I think they call it. I did have surgery on my eye lid, a little nip and tuck never hurt a guy. I need drops for that eye but mom can tell you all about it.
Now, I'd love a home where I get good food, snuggles, a good soft bed, I'd not want to be crated a lot. While I am crated during the day a bit while mom and dad work to buy food, other than that I don't want to be there. I will stroll right on in without a fuss but if left too long my roar bark will let you know I've had enough.
I sleep well wherever I fall asleep. Mom lets me sleep out, sofa, bed, just wherever.
I'd make a great companion for a home with couple who want a less active guy, maybe retired folks who want to walk in the park, and just hang out. A family who have older kids and don't want a young pup to play fetch, I'm not a play fetch kind of guy, too much work. Like I said I'm easy. My adoption fee is $400 bucks, wow, what a bargain. If you are interested in me, the Dozer, go to our website bullmastiffrescuers.org and complete an adoption application which can be found at the top of this page under "FORMS TO DOWNLOAD". Tell them Dozer sent you. They'll review your ap and ask me what I think, I'll talk to mom and we'll be in touch. Mom can tell you more. Hey thanks for checking me out. I see you looking.
