Koko is a beautiful 100 pound 1.5 year old bullmastiff puppy with huge brown eyes. She will use those big puppy dog eyes to illicit kisses, hugs, and treats from you. She absolutely loves to play and be near her humans, but is content in her crate when we aren’t home. She loves other animals – dogs, cats, critters. She wants to play with them and doesn’t realize her size. She takes criticism well from older dogs but does not give up easy on wanting to play. She plays fetch very well and will zoom around in circles in the yard. She loves her toys and will alternate playing with them, bringing some to you to toss for her and play with as well.
Koko learns very quickly and is smart and is building confidence. She will need someone who understands that she is still nervous of new things and will take the time to teach her it’s ok. On a leash she will still try to dart when she is scared of something. She is still very puppy like in this regards as well. She would do very well with a confident dog to learn from and a playmate to tire her out. She would also do well as an only dog in an active house that brings her for walks, plays fetch and other activities with her. She would benefit from socialization at a structured or trusted dog daycare once or twice a week, and would be a great candidate for agility. She will still test her boundaries at times trying to paw or climb up on her human. She has never had an accident or ruined anything in the house and respects safety gates. She will bark to alert of something amiss in the yard, or if there is a stranger on the property. If you tell her it is ok, she immediately relaxes and greets the person.
