I might not be Lady Gaga but my name is Lady and my foster mom is gaga over me! My previous owner was an awful man and after producing puppies for him, he dumped me at a shelter while I was still lactating! He told the shelter that my breeding days were over because of a growth in my vulva that he didn’t want to spend money to fix and told the shelter to euthanize me. Thankfully the shelter recognized that I didn’t deserve that and reached out to BRI. They took me in and provided me with the medical help I needed.

Because I was treated badly, it takes me a while to trust people and I flinch or scare easily. But I am learning that not everyone is a mean and horrible person. My foster mom has crate trained and house trained me. She taught me how to behave in a house and gives me wonderful treats such as marrow bones! Oh, my goodness those are so tasty. Because I can still scare easily, BRI would like me to have a fenced yard. I’m learning to walk appropriately on a leash but I sometimes pull and need someone to continue to teach me.

My foster mom says I should not go to a home with small dogs or cats and she thinks I would do best as an only dog. My foster mom says I am very smart, have great recall, listen well, and can be trusted loose in the house, as long as you don't leave your snack on a coffee table, that's too tempting.

I am fairly low energy and relaxed and just enjoy cuddling, puttering around the house or yard with my peeps.
