Luna was surrendered to BRI from her previous owner though we haven’t been able to fully understand why. She is just a lovely dog with a wonderful temperament. Luna gets along well with other dogs and cats. She knows basic commands and is crate trained and potty trained. She doesn’t like being outside too long but when outside she loves to run and play with the other dogs for brief periods but then wants to get back inside with her humans. We hope to find her a forever home with another large dog that she can gain confidence from. 
 
Luna can be shy and get stressed with new situations. Her ideal home would be with someone who is more of a homebody as she gets stressed going for rides, new places or lots of commotion in the household. She has tried to bolt and run from stressful situations so her adopters will need to build her confidence so she feels more safe and secure. 
 
Luna has encountered kids that visit occasionally in her foster home. Though she liked the kids, she could bolt when startled or scared, so we are looking for a home without small kids for her. A quieter household would be best for Luna.  A fenced yard is required for Luna - we will not consider applicants without a fence yard for Luna.
 
Luna is 2.5 years old, spayed and up to date on all recommended vaccinations and she is heartworm negative.

We require a donation ranging from $100 to $500 for each adoption. The donation is based on the age and health of the dog being adopted as well as its level of training. 100% of donations are directed to the veterinary expenses of the dogs in our care.
 
Luna is being fostered in Michigan; however, don’t let location be a barrier, BRI can arrange transport to many states east of the Mississippi!
