Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice! That's what my foster mom says about me. Hi! My name is Macee May. Everyone calls me a pocket bullmastiff; although, I can't fit in your pocket, I’m 84 pounds! I came to rescue as a stray with demodex in Arkansas. Thankfully, my hair has grown back in as a beautiful brindle, and I’ve started gaining weight. I am a young 1-2 year old female, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, crate trained, housebroken, and due to be spayed the first week of May. My favorite pastimes are sunbathing, playing with toys, chasing a ball, chewing bones, and relaxing or napping in my favorite dog bed. I am trustworthy in the house, and don’t need to be crated; although I will go in my crate if you aren’t home. My foster mom makes sure the only things laying around on the floor are my toys - this way I am not tempted! Some manners I am working on are my leash walking skills and learning to keep all four paws on the ground - when I’m excited, I jump. I am a quick learner who is eager to please, and I would benefit greatly from an introductory obedience class, says my foster mom. Because I was a stray, loud noises and sudden movements sometimes startle me. This makes me long for a family who can help me feel secure and safe while I work on my confidence. I would also love a fenced yard and a special spot to lay in the sunshine, a home without small animals or children, and a home where I can enjoy the company of a large relaxed male dog - or be the only dog (I LOVE to hog all the attention!)
So do you need a bit of sugar and spice in your life? Come meet me, and I guarantee I'll be all you need!
If your family would like to provide me with the home I deserve, please complete the adoption application at http://www.bullmastiffrescuers.org. My tax-deductible adoption fee is $400 and I am being fostered in Indiana. However, don’t let my location be a barrier. If you think I am the bullmastiff for your family, BRI can arrange my transport!
