Murphy (aka: smurf, smurf murph, and smurfy Murphy) is the biggest lovable lug you could ever meet. Murphy is a beautiful fawn bullmastiff around 4 years old; he is neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots, and heartworm negative. Murphy really loves his humans, both adults and children. He would really prefer to have someone in the same room with him, touching him and giving him attention at all times! He'll lean on you and just soak up the love and affection. Murphy has excellent manners but needs a strong leader to tell him what to do. He aims to please and can sit, stay, heel, and shake - among other tricks. He is fully housebroken and crate trained and is trustworthy if left alone when no one is home. With correct commands, he does not pull on the leash, and enjoys walking and hiking. He is the strong-quiet type, and rarely barks. He will alert you if someone approaches the house or if he needs to go outside. Murphy’s ideal home would be one where he is the only dog and can enjoy a relatively calm environment. Murphy is such a sweet and gentle companion who is ready to belong to a family forever.
