Sadly rescue suddenly lost one of it's own
Carl McMahan, Rest in Peace
Bullmastiffs lost a caring and dedicated advocate last night with the passing of Carl McMahan. He left behind his devoted wife and precious 7 year old twin girls.
Carl and Anne have long been avid rescue volunteers, not only helping Bullmastiffs in need but also volunteering for The Liberty Train, driving dogs of all kinds to safety. Carl loved the brindle bullies, always telling Anne it was OK to get another foster dog over as soon as one left, especially if it was a stripey one. When their last foster dog left, Carl asked how long it would be before the next one arrived.
Carl had quite a sense of humor. He wagered a couple of days, but it was only a couple of hours before they opened their hearts and home to the next dog in need. Carl will be missed by so many people. He was a wonderful husband, a wonderful father and the kind of guy you could count on to lend a hand when you needed it. We are certain there is a herd of brindle Bullmastiffs waiting to welcome him and guide him on the next step of his journey. All of us at BRINC send our thoughts and prayers.
Without Carl and family many fosters such as Mandy, Posy, Sophie, Ruby and Obi would not have been saved. Thank you. You will be greatly missed.
