Hi!
My name is Ruby and I'm a sweet 2 year old girl who loves a ton of attention and is super chill! I love meeting new people and my foster mom always reminds me that not EVERYONE wants a hug from me. I'm working really hard on learning how to not jump up and hug new people. I also love to eat near my foster family and they keep reminding me that I shouldn't have my face against the table, so I'm getting a lot better at scooting away or laying down next to them until dinner is over. My foster mom says being a beggar isn’t very lady like.
My favorite time is when my foster mom is cooking. I sit patiently next to her to eat carrots, bell peppers, zucchini, apples, strawberries and anything else she drops on the floor. I love hanging out outside on the porch in the sunshine and I'll scratch the door to let you know I want to go out. I'm pretty relaxed most of the time and love to be around my human sisters. They give me a lot of love and I never lose my patience with them. I am happy sleeping on their beds at night but I'm a really good girl who listens well and obeys even better, so I know that I can't get on my mom and dad's bed.
I like to lay in my crate when I'm sleepy or just want to be alone during the day. My mom just leaves the door open so I can go in and out whenever I want. I do like to go outside to go potty a lot. My mom keeps telling me that we need to work on a schedule. I can't help it that I just like to go potty! Oh, I like to chase rabbits and squirrels, so mom keeps ahold of my leash tight when we are on walks and she says that means I need to have a fenced yard so I can chase away and not get lost.
I'm really nice to other doggies and I LOVE meeting all new people - - kids and big people! I always hear my mom telling people that I'm "food-motivated" apparently that's a good thing. I don't know much about what it means, but she gives me food and I obey, so it's a win-win from my perspective! I might be the best kisser that you'll ever meet (but let's not tell everyone that as I wouldn’t want to get a reputation). I seem to obtain celebrity status anywhere we go. I love to be with my family all the time, so I can't wait to go for a ride every day and I'll sit patiently by the door whenever my family is getting ready to leave. I can't wait to find a forever family who has a lot of love and affection to give me!
