SAMANTHA
PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE BIO AND COMPLETE OUR ADOPTION APPLICATION BEFORE CONTACTING US.
Born on Feb 14, 2011 Samantha would love to be your Valentine. Samantha’s two previous owners didn’t realize what a special Valentine gift she was. Samantha was purchased from a pet store by a woman who then left her with her ex-boyfriend. He decided he did not want her and surrendered her to Good Samaritan knowledgeable in rescue. That’s how we found her. Samantha is our special Valentine but she isn’t looking for diamonds, flowers or chocolate. She is looking for someone to shower her with dog treats, toys and a snuggly warm bed every day not just on Valentine’s Day. We are looking for a home where she will be treasured for the beautiful, wonderful companion that she is.
Samantha gets along well with other animals. She might chase a cat a little bit but she is learning not to. Her previous owners did not walk this girl very much so she didn’t have much leash training to speak of. We are working on that but her adopter will need to continue with the training. She is very affectionate and loves attention from people. She will pull on the leash like a freight train to meet new people. Again, some training will help this. She is not particularly fond of being in a crate but she is not destructive in the house when left loose. She is house trained. She loves belly rubs, peanut butter, apples, and car rides. If she sees a car door open, she heads straight for it! She also loves inspecting what you are making for dinner! She nudges her way up to the counter and sniffs to see if you are doing a good job. She just wants to see and sniff what’s for dinner. Though she just turned 5 years old, don’t let the grey in her face full you. This girl can jump and spin in circles while you are preparing her food, jump into the back of a truck or onto a high bed without any trouble at all. She's solid and strong. She would not be a good candidate for someone with small children or senior citizens in the household. Samantha is being fostered in Missouri and will be spayed and microchipped soon and then ready for her forever home. Our network of volunteers would be glad to help transport her to an approved forever home. Her adoption fee is $400 but that’s nothing for a Valentine’s gift like her.
If you want Samantha’s be your Valentine and give her the home she deserves, please complete our adoption application located above under the "FORMS TO DOWNLOAD" link and we will contact you.
