Our forever fosters are the extra special dogs who will live out their lives with one of our pre-approved forever foster homes. The dogs in this program usually need ongoing veterinary care for chronic or terminal illnesses, or they require specialized care. Others have had such a traumatic life that moving them from the first safe place they have ever known would be too overwhelming for them. Some have very costly medical needs that could hinder an adopter from being able to provide the best quality of life possible. Others are seniors who deserve to spend their golden years knowing that they are safe, loved, and will never have to move and lose their family again. We are dedicated to making this happen for them by providing them with the best possible care despite their special needs! BRI pays for all of their vetting and care for the remainder of their lives, while our forever foster homes provide them with love and a soft place to lay their heads.
We rely on the kindness and generosity of our donors to be able to provide this program for these special dogs. There are numerous ways that you can help support this program that is so dear to our hearts. You can choose to become a monthly sponsor for one of our forever fosters one of 3 ways:
- Recurring donation via PayPal - Click on the donate button and then click "Monthly" to set up a monthly donation.
- Send your monthly donation via Venmo - Click on the Venmo link to send your donation. This is NOT an automatic recurring payment, so you will need to Venmo your donation amount each month if you wish for us to receive it.

Simply click on the Amazon link on the forever foster's name page, add the items you wish to purchase to your cart, and check out. It's that easy! Amazon will ship the items directly to the foster home without you even having to put in a shipping address.
Become A Forever Foster Home
One of the best ways to support our Forever Foster program is to become a forever foster home yourself! We are constantly needing fosters. The number of dogs in need far outnumbers the number of foster homes we have. Without foster homes, we have nowhere for these special dogs to go, and that means having to turn away dogs who otherwise would never have a chance without us. We try our best not to leave these poor dogs behind, but we can't do it without foster homes. Can't commit to being a forever foster home? Then please consider filling out our foster application to become a non-forever foster home. Becoming a foster home is easy and rewarding! BRI covers all veterinary needs, medications, preventatives and supplements, a crate if you do not already have one, and whatever supplies you need to make your new foster comfortable. We are with you every step of the way, from bringing your foster dog home all the way through adoption and beyond. Our foster coordinators will make sure that you have everything you need, answer any questions you have, regularly check in with you to see how you and your foster dog are doing, and to give advice and help when needed. Our medical coordinator will help you with any medical needs your foster may have, and our adoption coordinator will help you find the perfect forever home for your foster dog.
