BRI does not fly our dogs. Each of our dogs are driven by our volunteers to their destination. Since our service area covers most states east of the Mississippi River we have need of drivers throughout numerous states. The more drivers we have, the less time each volunteer has to spend driving. An average transport leg is about 1.5 - 2 hrs, however that time can be adjusted to fit the needs of each of the volunteers. Our transport coordinator maps out the route and each of the stops for our transports, making it easy and efficient for our transport volunteers.
