Meet Ares: A Big, Loveable Goof!
A Little About Ares:
Ares is a bullmastiff mix who has a very goofy personality. A bit clumsy and all over the place which makes him very entertaining. He is super cuddly and just wants to be near his people. He will follow you everywhere and is very much a lover boy. Ares is an active fella and will require an active owner who will help him burn off energy. He really enjoys jogging but if you aren’t a runner, long walks and interactive play time in the yard will suffice. If you want to adopt a couch potato bullmastiff, Ares is not the dog for you.
Personality and Preferences:
Ares exhibits good boundaries with other dogs and enjoys playing with the female bullmastiff in his foster home. A home with another medium or large dog companion would be nice for Ares so he can have a playmate though not necessary as long as he gets plenty of exercise, play and affection from his people. Cats or small dogs are a no-go for him.
Ares is neutered, crate trained, potty trained, up-to-date on his vaccinations and is heartworm negative. Ares had little to no leash manners when he came to BRI but he has made a lot of progress. He has learned to mind the command to ignore things that he finds distracting on walks and keeps getting better and better with every walk.
Because of his energy level, a solid fenced in yard (not electric) is required for Ares so he can be his crazy, adorable self.
If your family would like to provide Ares with the home he deserves, please click on the "Adopt Me" button above and complete the adoption application. You can complete an online version or download the application in Word.
We require a donation ranging from $100 to $600 for each adoption. The donation is based on the age and health of the dog being adopted as well as its level of training. 100% of donations are directed to the veterinary expenses of the dogs in our care.
Rambo is being fostered in Michigan; however, don’t let location be a barrier, BRI can arrange transport to many states east of the Mississippi!
