Helga came from a shelter in NC in June 2023. We estimated her age at 8-9 years old and she was clearly in poor health. She has an inoperable malignant tumor attached to her colon and was given two months to live at best. Nobody told Helga that. She’s still doing well 15 months later, and has taken over the household – Queen Helga rules the universe, at least in her own eyes, and nobody is going to tell her she’s wrong!

Helga is a simple girl who knows how to enjoy the good things in life! She loves a good bone to chew on, tasty treats of any kind (she’s not picky when it comes to snacks!), and spending time with her people. Her favorite activities include going for walks, riding in the car, relaxing with a chew, and taking plenty of well-deserved naps. When it’s time to sleep, Helga has made it clear that Foster Mom’s bed is the best spot in the house!
