Meet Kaia, a beautiful senior Bullmastiff who has found exactly where she belongs. Kaia came to BRI when her elderly owner had to move into assisted living and could no longer care for her. After a lifetime of loyalty and companionship, Kaia found herself needing a new place to call home—and she quickly stole the heart of her foster mom.

At approximately 7.5 years old, Kaia has proven that age is just a number. She is a wonderful house companion who is house-trained, well-mannered, and happiest when she is simply near her people. She loves car rides, walks, treats, nylabones, and spending time with her foster mom, whether they are relaxing on the couch or working around the yard together.

Kaia’s gentle, patient, and affectionate nature makes her an incredible companion. She still enjoys moments of playful energy but is equally content to settle in for a cozy nap and enjoy the comforts of home. She has a special way of quietly being there for the people she loves.

While Kaia’s age made finding a traditional adoption home more challenging, her foster mom knew Kaia was already home. She has officially become a Forever Foster, where she will continue to be loved, spoiled, and cherished for the rest of her days.

Kaia is living the life every senior dog deserves—with a person who understands her, a comfortable place to call home, and all the love she has always given to others returned right back to her.
