Meet Zoie, a sweet Bullmastiff who waited far too long to know what it means to be loved. Zoie is the second girl we missed at the 2019 auction, and she spent three years in another puppy mill before BRI was finally able to bring her into rescue in 2022.

By the time she arrived, Zoie was 7 years old and dealing with a severe ear infection and significant arthritis. Thankfully, those challenges could be treated and managed, but Zoie had another unique challenge—she has pica, a condition that causes her to seek out and eat things she shouldn’t. Luckily, her forever foster family had experience with dogs like Zoie and opened their hearts and home to give her the life she deserved.

Zoie has fully embraced being a family dog. She loves being indoors, spending time with her human family, and hanging out with her canine siblings. She even enjoys the company of the resident giant tortoise! Her favorite activities include sleeping, soaking up the sunshine, and relaxing with the ones she loves.

Zoie is a true testament to the power of patience, compassion, and second chances. After years of being overlooked, she finally has the safe, loving home she always deserved—with plenty of good food along the way!
